Job Description

OBJECTIVES/PURPOSE:

  • Lead the India Finance and Supply Chain Organization, be a part of India Country Leadership Team (CLT) as well as the I-SEA Finance Leadership Team  as we look to double the size of the organization and revenue in the next three years

  • Provide Finance Decision Support to the CLT and act as a Strategic Finance Business Partner to the GM  and as a Director on the Board for the LOC

  • Oversee and manage the India Supply Chain organization ensuring efficient and timely patient supply for existing portfolio (majority blood products) and establishment of vaccines

  • Act as role model to live and demonstrate Takeda’s Leadership behaviors and PTRB

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Own all Financial and Supply Chain aspects of India

  • Act as a strategic Finance business partner to the India GM and CLT

  • Track and analyze business performance as well as Finance KPIs on a monthly basis and provide strategic insights for decision making

  • Establish, maintain and monitor an effective and efficient internal control environment

  • Drive the annual budget processes

  • Lead a diverse Team of Finance and Supply Chain Professionals, elevate capabilities, coach and develop

  • Lead the Financial Management / controllership (accounting operations, regulatory / financial reporting and policies and procedures) for the India operations and leverage the expertise of Takeda’s Business Service Organization (TBS) to ensure accuracy and completeness of the monthly financial closing cycle

  • Drive the Credit and Collection efforts efficiently minimizing risk and optimizing DSO and Cash flow

  • Manage a multitude of Senior stakeholders within the CLT, ISEA, GEM  and the global organization

  • Utilize and enhance tools to monitor and drive business performance (digitalization efforts)

  • Enable an effective supply chain organization and strong cross-functional collaboration

  • Ensure a robust control environment is in place where risks are flagged and mitigated timely

  • Drive Takeda’s people agenda, develop and coach staff

  • Accounting, Controllership, FP&A and Credit & Collection expertise and experience

  • Majority of the business is through Government tender procurements

Interaction

  • Leadership of India Finance and Supply Chain Team

  • Regular liaison with I-SEA / GEM BU and Global Finance stakeholders such as Controllership, Corporate Finance, Tax, Treasury, and TBS

  • Statutory and Internal Auditors, Bankers, Third Party Service providers including Tax consultants

EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:

  • University Degree in Finance or Accounting

  • Professional Accounting Designation (CA, CPA, ACCA) preferred.

  • Minimum of 15+ years of progressive Finance experience within a Pharmaceutical Multinational in a Finance Business Partner role/ Head of Finance role

  • Strong Accounting, Controls, FP&A and Decision support background

  • Strong Leadership skills and proven ability to lead a large and diverse Team across a large emerging market geography.

  • Executive presence

  • Effective communicator
