I am Siew Hoo, currently serving as senior manufacturing manager for Manufacturing Suite 2 at Takeda Singapore. I have been with Takeda for 9+ years, since 2014.

What has your career journey with Takeda been so far?

My career journey with Takeda started off with me taking on the role of senior supervisor, overseeing the purification workstream in Manufacturing Suite 1.

Thereafter, I held multiple positions, including manufacturing lead, manufacturing manager (Suite 1), and senior manufacturing manager (Suite 1), until recently I laterally moved to manage Manufacturing Suite 2.

What about your role do you find the most rewarding?

The most rewarding part of my role is knowing how closely knitted it is, from the production of medicine to patients and how the product improves the quality of life for patients.

What is your biggest achievement so far?

My biggest achievement so far was to be able to recover quickly from contamination in the first few months of entering into the role of manufacturing manager. Together with my team, we discovered the root causes and devised a production plan to recover lost batches due to contamination.

People here at Takeda really want to be a part of the solution, not the problem. This cohesive spirit is the reason I enjoy working here so much.
